John has four children:

John(Jack) Hagerthey  (McDonald)

David Hagerthey (McDonald)

Mark Hagerthey ( McDonald)

Donna Hagerthey (McDonald) Knight

 

All four children were adopted in 1965 and had name changes from Hagerthey to McDonald.

 

 

John Hagerthey was born August 16, 1930 in Gloucester City, New Jersey and died Friday January 1, 1965 in Westville, N.J. at the age of 34. He had been a resident of Westville for 21 years and was an employee of R.C.A. in Camden. John enlisted into the United States Army on June 3, 1949 and was Honorably Discharged February 28, 1955.                                         

John Hargerthey married Violet B. Vanneman from Westville, N.J.. They were married in Elkton, Maryland on August 23, 1952. At the time of his death, John  lived at 416 Summit Ave. Westville, N.J..
